A graduate of Orchestral Music in Korea’s Kywon University, A.I.D.M. Academa Diploma Violini in Rome, Italy, a member of MBC Orchestra, Park is considered as musical genius and now, a rising star in the field of rock electronic violin, internationally. She shall be having a concert at Araneta Coliseum on Monday August 22, 2011 in celebration of the Philippine-Korea Friendship Day for the benefit of "KOPINOY" (Korean-Pilipino) abandoned Children. She will be also performing live at the different branches of SM Malls nationwide and shall undertake concert tours to promote and poster Korean-Pilipino friendship.

INDAY'S PRODUCTION

I told Inday before I accepted the project that she give me a free hand to express my creative prawless and to edit the materials I took in my style. She said yes. Professionally, that's what I like from a producer. Freedom of artistic creativity is what every artist loves most. In fact, every artist, videographer and editor has their own style which makes them sought after. Many do in fact, commissioned me to re-edit other works to suit with my interpretation of the materials, which they like. This one is for Inday. I saw in her my sister Maripil in US, who like her, went home when our mother died.

It was about 2:30 in the afternoon somewhere in Bulacan where Inday's mother have to be cremated. The lighting was good as it is in open space and except for a cloudy intervention from about 3:00 to 3:30 p.m., the over all lighting is fair. JAZZ TURNED 18

I just received a comment from Julia about my latest post when I am about to publish this one. Jazz Del Rosario just turned 18. I didn't know it, until her mother, who used to own HBM Drugstore (that drugstore along ALMAR/ZABARTE Road, besides 7/11), approached me to re-edit the pictures taken during her debut. Just like the video taken during a friend's wedding, Jun, which I re-edited to suit to my taste, Jazz' debut was also held at Annabel's. Jun is now in London, we became friends thereafter till' to this day and communicate each other thru the net, although we're both busy nowadays. SEYMOUR's HEROISM

My attention was caught by Seymour's latest post informing us that they joined the protest rally held last Friday February 15, 2008 along EDSA-Ayala to express their sentiment to pressure the government to ferret out the truth concerning the NBN-ZTE Broadband Project.

Aside from the Senate inquiry, one of the most revealing information on the "alleged" anomaly concerning the project can be viewed at Ellen Tordesillas' post entitled: "The Madriaga files on NBN-ZTE", which was allegedly written by a Computer Engineer who has a direct hand on the project. Originally, the project has a noble objective: it aims to make government offices into a huge network of interconnected computers so government transactions, services and communications will be greatly improved because of faster coordination rather than relying on old-skool technologies. Until, the "alleged" greed sets in . . . as eloborated in the post of Pinoy Tux.

Not known to many, both China and the US were allegedly interested in the project. When the project pushed through despite objections by the different interest group - the problem sets in: the original copy of the contract/agreement between the Philippine Government and China was allegedly stolen after it was signed! Imagine a document of utmost importance to both countries supposedly secured in the custody of high ranking offiicals - stolen barely a day after it was signed? Why?

In today's world of modern technology, internet plays a vital role to influence public opinion. The worldwide web was first used by the western world for military purpose, until it was fully developed for commercial use. It is the most effective, fastest and realiable source of information. It's main feature - it is "free from all forms of prior-restraint". Unlike the mainstream media, where a story can be killed by the editor, its editorial board, by government regulations or by the publishing house or network owner him/herself, the worldwide web provides a democratic space where people can instantly express their views freely.

Today, Pilipinos are the most creative, expressive and influential web page designers, bloggers, writers, columnists and artists in the cyber world influencing millions of people worldwide on issues affecting environment, economy, culture and politics, among others. We are freedom loving people and our forefathers fought for it dearly. To quote : "We the veterans, are already old, but before we die, there is only one wish that I am asking from God. Even though we have no money to leave behind because we are poor, we do wish that before we go to our final resting ground, we can see that you who are left behind can enjoy the fruits of the freedom we have been hoping for."
Seymour kept the flame of freedom alive, a candle to pass on in this time of darkness in quest of the truth.

ERNESTO's GARDEN

I was awed to see a perfect venue so nice and presentable at Novaliches Bayan: ERNESTO's GARDEN, located at 42 Buenamar St., Novaliches. If you're within Novaliches Bayan, its an ideal place to hold a party, wedding or an event. It's located at the back of Nova Bayan's Mini Plaza, just 5 minutes drive from the Church, its right at the heart of Novaliches Bayan. Most of all, if you need a bigger parking area, you can use the parking space of La Funeraria Nova where your vehicles can be secured and just a minute or two walk passing thru the back door entrance, you're already in this elegant, cozy, cool and so nice place called ERNESTO's GARDEN.

The most difficult subject in organizing an event aside from performers, sound, lights, props, chairs and tables, catering, etc., etc. . . . is the "venue". That is why most of the those celebrating or intends of having an affair consults an event organizer. Most often than not it's cheaper, especially if you talk with professionals like Liezel (De Jesus-Reyes) of the Ernesto's Garden, who basically have everything. I have known many event organizers of the countless events and projects I documented, but Liezel is different. She's the one who directly manages and personally attends to the needs of her client right during the affair, from table arrangements and presentations, food and services. I was surprised to know later on that she was also the proprietor. Talking with the right person who knows the business she indulges into is better.

The seven-year term of Chair Karina Constantino-David ended at the closing of the office hours of February 1, 2008. That day was filled with activities that started with a thanksgiving mass officiated by the Chair's brother-in-law, Bishop David (i have no pics during the mass though), followed by the Chair's visit to the different offices of the Commission and capped with the Salamat, Mabuhay Program at the Muti-Purpose Hall with guests like Dulce, the Asia's Diva, Willie Nepomuceno, the man with different faces and voices . . . see more stories and pictures in Seymour's site at Multiply.

EVERYTHING HAS A REASON

I should have gone to bed! My attention was, however, caught by pedestrian observer's mail - "let us help kcat bloggers". Who is kcat after all!

She is a 25 year-old woman suffering from a rare disease called NEUROFIBROMATOSIS TYPE 2 (NF2) for a considerable number of years. She have brain tumors. Her left extremities weakened. She can’t move her left arm and hand, left leg and foot. She can’t walk. Her right face numbs and her facial muscles won’t move. She can’t swallow as well. Her vision blurs and she can’t smile. She's also deaf. Yet, her site everything has a reason touches the lives of so many not only in the cyber community, but in the real world as well.

Her site depicts the true meaning of living: everything has a reason.

GALI KOREN OUTREACH PROGRAM

Gali Koren is about to conclude her Outreach Program in the country, after giving series of lectures on U.S. Immigration Law (For Free!) in well known hotels from Visayas to Manila, as we mentioned in our previous post. More than a thousand attended every lecture she conducted in Bacolod, Iloilo and at the Century Park Sheraton Hotel in Manila. The seminar were extended into two sessions each to accomodate everybody.

Many wondered why this lady has a big heart for U.S. migrants, until we learned lately that Gali was, herself, a migrant from Israel who strived hard to enter the U.S. legally until she became its citizen. She graduated Magna Magna Cum Laude, from Western State University, where she received her Juris Doctor Degree. She obtained her LLM in International Law from the University of San Diego Law School, where she majored in Immigration Law. She then founded the Law Offices of Gali Koren, where she is the managing attorney.

We would like to thank those who responded to our invitation, which we posted at Pinoyblogosphere and with our other groups at yahoo. Some of those who are active in the cyber community attended. We would like to thank Gali Koren for choosing our country as the beneficiary of her outreach program.

The Malu Fernandez Scandal which we discussed at Pinoyblogosphere on August 23, 2007 brought forth a new dimension in the Pilipino cyber community. It is an experience, where unorganized cyber communities of Pilipinos from all over the world united as one and expressed their discontent over a published article from mainstream media. We mentioned that:

"If there is a lesson to be learned from the said experience - in today’s world of advance digital age – one thing was proven: corporations, publication houses and big media outfit does not have the monopoly of the media to stir public opinion. Individuals, independent publishers, artists and private citizens, in their own right may freely participate and express their own views and opinions through the use of modern technology, the internet, which power to influence people is more of a reality than perception. The Malu Fernandez incident awakened Pilipino sentiment worldwide. It demonstrated to the world how Pilipinos took a stand on issue affecting a class within their own social structure. Unlucky, the object of criticism is one of their own. Unlucky, it has caused damage to the publisher of Malu’s article. Whether they like it or not, the stain remains on the outfit where Malu’s article were published and it may take time to heal."

Thereafter, well known Pilipino bloggers caught the mainstream media's attention. Other media practioners, however, are doubtful about blogging's effectiveness especially in the area of responsiveness. It cannot, however, be denied that: Today, blogging has become the most reliable source of information where the mainstream media relies to bring into the public's attention issues that needs to be address by all of us, as a nation, as Pilipinos. Noteworthy to mention is the issue on Human Trafficking of Pilipinas in Malaysia which we posted at Pinoyblogosphere on September 8, 2007. Many of our unseen friends in the blogging community joined the crusade until it finally caught mainstream media's attention. Many has been rescued thereafter and other prospective victims were forewarned.

Jose Mathew P. Luga, President of the Athletics Club of the Sacred Academy of Novaliches, is already in his senior year. The Club was the one in charge of the recently concluded opening program of the 2007-2008 SHAN's Intramural.
